Security & Privacy

PIN-Encrypted Storage: The first time you save a key, you set a PIN. Your secret keys are encrypted with it (AES-256-GCM, PBKDF2) before they're written to your browser's local storage, and automatically deleted after 7 days. Nothing is ever stored in plain text, and the PIN itself is never saved anywhere.

No Analytics: We don't track your usage, collect personal data, or use cookies for tracking purposes.

HTTPS Only: All connections are encrypted and we use modern security headers to protect against common web vulnerabilities.

Standard Algorithms: We use the same cryptographic standards (HMAC-SHA1, Base32) as major authenticator apps, plus PBKDF2 + AES-GCM to encrypt what's stored on your device.

Is this safe to use?

Yes! Your secret keys never leave your device. We use the same security standards as Google Authenticator and other trusted apps.

What if I lose my secret keys, or forget my PIN?

Since everything is stored locally and encrypted with your PIN, clearing your browser data — or forgetting your PIN — means your saved keys can't be recovered; you'd reset and re-add them. Exporting a backup ahead of time avoids this — the file stays PIN-encrypted, so it's only useful with the same PIN. Always keep the backup codes your services gave you too.
